CEREC

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEramic REConstruction) is the most effective restoration process available to date. Enabling Porcelain Restorations to be completed within just one dental appointment; CEREC saves you time in the dental chair.

CEREC is revolutionising the dental industry. No longer is it necessary to undergo messy impressions or wait for extensive laboratory work to be completed; your Porcelain Restoration is created while you wait in the dental chair. Utilising state-of-the-art equipment and advanced computer technology; CEREC provides extensive benefits to patients. The affected tooth will have greater strength, stability and protection from further deterioration. CEREC restorations are created from ceramic materials and are aesthetically pleasing in appearance. Porcelain Restorations which may be created with CEREC, include; Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, Inlays and Onlays.

CEREC will restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function. The material used for CEREC is carved out of a compressed block of porcelain which is also closely matched to the composition of your natural tooth structure.

INLAYS AND CROWNS - IN ONE SINGLE SESSION

Whilst providing general dental care in our office we specialise in advanced dental treatment options one of which is the CEREC 3D chairside computer.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:

When an old filling requires replacement all traces of that filling, including any potential decay, are removed.

A digital impression is then taken with the CEREC 3D camera. The model of your tooth appears on screen. Whilst you watch, your new restoration will be designed on screen and then milled out of a solid porcelain block. The finished restoration is then bonded to your tooth.

The advantage of having porcelain restorations such as Inlays, Crowns or Veneers completed in one sitting is significant, because impressions, temporaries and laboratory waiting times become obsolete. A beautiful new smile will be your reward

What Kinds of Procedures Can it Perform?

  • Partial and full crowns
  • Tooth-coloured veneers
  • All other single-tooth restorations
  • Ceramic fillings, inlays and onlays
